 Build your Meccano RCR Car.
Action time. The faster you work as a team to build your car the more time you will have to test it and drive it to victory.

 Appoint a Track Engineer
Select a team member that will work with other team engineers to construct a REAL track for the Grand Prix. You might want to watch the end of the promo movie for ideas.

 Build and Design Report.
Prior to entering the Grand Prix your team MUST submit a completed techMANIA Report. This report will show how your team has worked together to prepare itself for RACE DAY

 Le Mans Style Grand Prix
Every team member MUST participate. If a team member is NOT present on trace day the team is disqualified

The Grand Prix uses a Le Mans race format.

  • Each heat (including the Grand Final) consists of 5 laps
  • Each team member drives the car for a Lap and swaps over after crossed the finish line
  • Any car (team) that bumps or causes another car not to complete automatically forfeits the competition
  • If your car is damaged or rendered incapable of completing a Lap by another team your team's car will be able to re start in a repecharge race
  • The 1st and 2nd placed cars from each heat go into the quarter and semi finals
  • The Grand Prix grid positions will be decided by fastest times as displayed in the semi finals
