OzInterBiz project manages leading edge innovative digital learning strategies and can draw upon a wide range of stakeholder experts to ensure 'best practice' outcomes.
Beginnings....The introduction of Windows 95 clearly 'flagged’ the dawn of the mass domestic and commercial use of the IBM PC compatible. Everyone would need to use a PC by the turn of the Century. The computer would ‘drive’ society as did the motor car at the turn of the last century. The new millennium clearly shows us that we must all learn to ‘drive’ on the “information super highway”. OzInterBiz provides support to, teachers and schools on how to integrate and manage the new information applications to inspire and engage learners in the 21st.Century.

Lead Consultant: George Sorgi

George is a twice published author and brings to OzInterBiz an unique blend of teaching experience and methodology combined with progressive eLearning ideas and strategies.

And so it began....
After 14 years with the Education Department, as a Secondary School teacher George resigned to form an innovative service business. Although the commercial world provided many benefits the deep passion for learning and the rewards that only teaching can offer continued to be ever present.

The mid 1990's produced a convergence of cost effective computer hardware accessibility and the release of Microsoft's Windows 95 platform. A unique opportunity afforded itself; design innovative learning around emerging Information Communications Technology.

OzInterBiz was fortunate to partner with Broadmeadows Primary School to develop leading edge learning strategies in eLearning. This was acknowledged in 2000 when the partnership received an award for innovation and excellence for the eSchool program.

Building from this foundation and with the involvement of Balwyn North PS, Broadmeadows Secondary College (Now Hume Central), Mitcham PS, and Hume Valley School, new innovative digital learning programs were created to accommodate the ever increasing need for digital learning.

Examples:

  • eBytes for Millennial learners
  • eTeacher development
  • World first strategies using multi media and pocket PC's at Balwyn North PS, Mitcham PS and Broadmeadows PS
  • Digital Media Academy
  • Student driven eLearning (ICT) mentoring program (milC)
  • Immersive learning programs at Hume Valley School
  • Cyber Safe 24/7 real time collaboration platform for 1 to 1 devices
  • DigiTRONICS robotics
  • Development of Interactive 3D virtual worlds
  • Development of P2P distributed digital TV to notebooks and 1 to 1 devices
  • TrackMANIA and MeccaniX technology program

The culmination of over a decade's involvement in digital learning spanning P to 10 and across a variety of socio economic environments has seen the development of world first application of collaborative software from Microsoft (Groove 2007) and into an education setting.

eLearning and digital literacy are essential skill sets for 21st. Century schools. Introducing and sustaining eLearning is the central challenge from a teacher and learner point of view. With over 30 years of "'in class" practice and development we can advise you with "what works" as opposed to "best guess" scenarios.
